Turf Influence question?

This might be a dumb question but I’m a returning player who hasn’t played in a long time but needless to say I’ve forgotten a bit about the game. My question is I’ve gotten my turf up to influence 86 but notice there are some who have theirs past 86 Into the 90s and in some cases 100. How is that possible and how am I able to increase my turf to that point as well?

Loot items raise it past 86. You can get them from missions or capping turf with them equipped.
