How much attack needed?
Forums › Help & Strategy › How much attack needed?-
How much attack would I need to never lose a fight against someone with 100k defense? Or what would be the recommended attack to have to win MOST fights and pretty much smash your opponent? Lol Ty

It's not that simple. Simply mob up and arm yourself to the best weapons you can get without going into the negatives in income and you'll be fine.
-
Yeah I'm mobbing up as quick as I can and tryin to get better weapons. But there has to by some formula that us used to calculate the fight outcomes. Can't be as simPle as whichever is higher the attack or defense wins right?
-
That's actually the simplest way to put it. Or at least the easiest way for calculating.
Citing attack and defense numbers. MUCH easier to answer than "what do I need to beat (number) mob?"
If you are 20% stronger, you will win most but may still lose a few. 30% stronger would likely do it.
But getting back to what what Corrupted said, you always want to have a bigger mob. The game is weighted towards defense, so you always always need to be significantly bigger to win in attacking.

You must try to get a bigger mob than them, also search online for turf wars weapon calculator, it should bring up nems calculator, use that to
Work out their stats, I'd say 120k would win majority of fights, but u will only use enough weapons for ur mob, so once again more mob = win -
So in other words for example it's pointless having 4000 lupas when u only have 2000 mob, cos only 2000 lupas will be used in the fight

What about less than 20%? Let say your attack equals the opponent defense, what are your chance to win at least once over 10 fights? Higher than zero? This is critical for turf capping. If you are 20% stronger, you will win most but may still lose a few. 30% stronger would likely do it.

You will win fights at as low as 87% of you opponents defense. i.e, your attack = 87, his defense = 100, you will win some.
-
How in the heck did you found that out? Is it empirical or did you have a chance to pick Nick's brain out? Thanks, this is great. Do you happen to have the formula?
-
It's simple enough to figure out. Look at your opponent's defense, adjust you attack to xx %age. Attack. log result.
-
Only formula i got is: less than equal, you lose more. more than equal, you win more.

The problem with this approach is that because of the randomness in the system you need to do a lot of trials for each attack sample to be able to draw some significant result. I guess you have to log every attacks, I am not that patient 😉It's simple enough to figure out. Look at your opponent's defense, adjust you attack to xx %age. Attack. log result.

And that's the main reason i have such a crappy fight record.

haha, or is it because you currently fight bare handed? And that's the main reason i have such a crappy fight record.

If you're just going out to cap, and don't want to take the time to do the math on each player, here a rule of thumb:
Your attack divided by 41.6 is the largest mob with the best defense (.338's and armor) that you can take every time. There are a lot of variables with players weapons and mob, but if you find this number, you will be able to beat anybody, anytime that falls below it. -
That's an extreme case, and if you base your decision solely on that, you will miss many opportunities.
But it is tight in one thing, you should never lose a fight with if you meet those parameters.
