Why is my Family paying me for protection?

I have a member in my Family who is basically sharing the same area as me for turf, but she’s paying me for protection. Is there any way to stop this?

Without looking, I’m assuming you are covering a turf of hers that has less influence than yours. Either lower your influence, have her increase hers or tear down your turf and move it someplace else.
