You need a bigger mob to defend yourself. Why not go to http://www.mobcode.org/ and add a few more people. Until you have a nice income to pay for better weapons buy at least 1 grenades and 1 Kevlar vest for each mob member. When you get a better income you can then buy kevlar vests and miniguns instead.
