Leveling up speed

Hey quick question, I just started playing about 5 days ago and have been working on leveling up as quick as possible. I know in a lot of other similar games leveling up fast is bad, and I've seen people on this forum say the same. I can't think of a reason why however. Since atk/def is irrelevant here, level has no direct effect on attacking that I can see, except by granting better gear (and since I'm leveling quick, I've wasted almost no money on low level stuff). Also, the attack list seems to have people of all levels on it already anyway. It appears profit is directly related to leveling too b/c of the extra turf since low level upgrades have better payouts.

It seems leveling fast gets you to the better gear, and gives you more income without having any negative affects. Am I missing something here?

You can see higher levels, but not all higher levels can see you. Level 50 and higher cant see players below level 40. And I think under level 50 can only see down 10 levels on the fight list.

The Don also protects players under level 15 from significantly stronger players.

And slower leveling gives more time to mob up. Which is critical in this game.

You also don't have to worry about being targeted by a vendetta under level 25.
