What benefit does that offer? And how to choose which one? Thanks for your advice!

The possible benefits might include some helpful advice. Tips such as taxing inactives instead of capping them. How going over your turf limit may lead to boredom and make you a possible stationary target for enemies. Teaching you how to fight and so on. A family could also give support with wars. In short, look for a leader who is knowledgeable.

Thanks. But how to find the knowledgeable leader?

Families are a useful tool (I imagine) for the big alliances that fight a lot as they provide an in-game chat room and show each members stats. For the rest of us....well it's just an in-game chatroom that shows each members stats.
You can find plenty of options if you look in the families forum such as:
• The⚔️Warriors Family (contact 👁🗨𝗠𝗿.𝗥𝗼𝗯𝗼𝘁👁🗨)
• The 💵Blacklist💵 Family (contact R. Reddington)
• The 🦅Hawk Families:
- Alpha Squad (contact Commander Hawk)
- Bravo Squad (contact Bluejay)
- Charlie Squad (contact Saffron)
- Delta Squad (contact tommarin)
- Echo Squad (contact sirkenbo)
- Foxtrot Squad (contact BettyWhite)• The International Crime Syndicate (contact ℒɑɳɗƊҽҽɗ Mͣ2ͩ1ͩ).
• The Channel 64 family (contact NervyUnicorn)
Feel free to tell them I sent ya. 👍
