...or are they only programmed for Apple? The "push notification help" section doesn't mention Android at all and only provided help for Apple. Seems a bit strange to only cater for half of the playerbase.

The Android version came much later than iOS, so my guess that help section hasn’t been updated since it was an iOS exclusive.

That said, you should be able to opt into the “real time news” feature in the news tab . Maybe that will help?

I've tried everything in the notification help section and still not receiving any notifications on my device, only while in game.
Using a Google pixel 3

A couple years ago, I used to play on Android and get notifications. I think something has changed recently? Maybe it's not been updated for newer versions of android 🤔

Not had notifications since latest android upgrade, mind you i also dont get them for gmail. Also my calender events take turns in disappearing and reappearing every 24hrs
