Are loot crates worth it?

Are they worth getting at all? Do the potential items level with you? (If I'm level 10 I might expect items suitable for my level, and will possibly be obsolete by level 50, for example)

Most people feel that loot crates are a waste of money. So unless you have money to waste I would stick with turf limit increases and get your loot from cracking bank safes.
