Visiting turf locations benefits and game state

What are the benefits of visiting turf locations? I like GPS games as they make me go somewhere and think strategically sometimes. But for this game it seems visiting some specific location doesn't give me too much. It just allows me to create new turf at that place but I usually can do it without visiting the place using turf radius.
So is it GPS game or just code punching game? I have been playing for 2 weeks and I don't know what to do next. No way to fight with big bosses who have thousands of mobsters. Moreover capturing turfs is not profitable. Is that really mafia game? No active players in my city. There is absolutely nothing to do with money even for such newby like me so what is the reason in capturing new turfs at all? Stats? They are broken for my city as turfs (even locatet closely) belong to different versions of city name.
I just pass missions and fight players (they are all inactive) who have less number of mobsters. It seems this game is almost dead. Am I missing some point?

You are kind of a couple of years to late. There are ways to get involved in wars but would take you time to build up and would need real money investment to up turf limit, stam etc. Other than that the only thing you can really do is gain capos or hop places but that would soon get boring, for me anyway. It’s a war game more than a mafia game.

You can get 3k mob in 3-4 months by punching temps and get your turf limit up using free don points .. will open the game up a bit for you if you stick with it.. I haven't paid anything yet and slowly building

No, thanks. Punching is not for me. I've placed my code in forum and sites and that's all I am ready to do. Punching looks like a work, not a game. It is not fun at all so why sould I do that? But let's imaging I have 3K mob instead of 200+. What is the difference? City is still occupyed by players having 25k mobs (mosly inactive). Capturing turfs is still no sense. Still no things to invest money in. What could I do with 3K, with 300K? It seems the game is unbalanced as it 1) doesn't remove or weaken turfs of inactive players; 2) doesn't have city stats; 3) doesn't give advantages to those who visits turf's location. So old fa.. players have huge advantage here and no new blood, game is just duying. I've seen the same in PK, don't know who was the first. You can get 3k mob in 3-4 months...

1) Inactive turfs are essential; they raise the hourly income of the area they are in just by being there.
2) Go to the homepage, tap “Top Mobsters”, then choose your stat and location.
3) What kind of advantages? If there was a war going on, and a whole family decided to travel to the war zone, or if they live there, then that would be unfair because the opposing team would have a disadvantage. Not posting this to be a dick, just posting to give you answers.

With the punching, all you gotta do is spend like 5-10 min a day on it and you get lots of mob.

There is a reason why this game has been around for 8 years and still going. Cos many people have found something worth playing for, things are not as good as they used to be tho.
It would take longer than a forum message to explain how the fighting, alliance and vendetta system works. A 3k mob could cause me many problems if he teams up with other player in a vendetta. You want areas to be well populated, higher income on your turf, more ppl to cap and tax. -

1. I don't like it as it makes attacks useless. With limited number of turfs you cannot control your city without those crazy punching.1) Inactive turfs are essential; they raise the hourly income of the area they are in just by being there.

3) What kind of advantages?..
2. It doesn't work for my city and region as there are several variants of writing the same object, only country is Ok.
3. Yes, those who are located near turfs have advantage. Why not? It is more realistic, chances to new players and make old ones do something.Well maybe I just need another type of the game, more location-based.

The main benefit of visiting is that you don't have to hop.
It's a GPS game & a code punching game; as well as a war game, & a building game.
If you make less than 5 million per hour, you can easily spend your money hopping. You can't spend money, because you aren't hopping...& because you can't build a full size turf, which costs just over $3.5 million to upgrade.
If you don't want to build your mob by punching codes, & you don't want to have turf in other places (as it is a completely location-based game) - & you don't like doing missions or fighting - there won't be much to do.
In a way, you are almost correct about it being work...it is a game that requires some effort to accomplish goals.👉😵 -
I've read about hopping and I was thinking about it before too but I don't understang what it gives me. Even if I come to another city I have very limited number of turfs and its extending doesn't depend on my in-game actions (I don't consider donation and other non-game activity).
As for being work. It is ok when game is complex, when you need to learn something or do something interesting like visiting many places, collecting something but typing thousands of dumb codes... No, that's not for me. By the way as every code should be approved the mob size is limited by the number of active players and its number seems to decrease. I've somewhere the figure of 600 players. Not to much if correct and no way to get the size of old players. The less opportunities for new players, the smaller will this number be.

I gained 100 mob in 3 days and I only punched 2 days worth (5-10 mins each day) of temp codes. You CAN get a decent mob. There’s more than 600 players.
If you watch the free daily videos then you can add a free turf to your limit every 3 days, every week or so you’ll add an extra from remaining points.
$$ is not required to play.

Daily videos are not available in my region.

That's discouraging, & I understand your frustration...you can't do much without turf limit.😕👉😵Daily videos are not available in my region.

There is an option in the Turf Wars settings - in system settings - that allows for not using your location for ad targeting. I don't know what it does, but it may be worth trying (if you haven't already done that). I wish I could be more helpful.🤷♂️👉😵

Typing your code gets you probably 10% of your mob, if that. I would say 90% from punching codes
