I'm having a problem with police protection in the areas I'm capo of, I'm capo of most areas I play in including my house but I still get busted constantly when I do missions in these areas. Am I missing something or is this a common problem?

You still have turf in cities outside of your Capos. Just watch a video from The Don and you’ll get 5 free Respect Points which you can use to get full police protection for a week.

Even better, use a Consigliere if you happen to loot one.

Unless you buy global police protection at the don or use a consigliere you'll still be busted when doing missions. But it's not really a big deal as you don't lose the energy.
