Can't place turf

Just downloaded the game and everything is working except for the fact I can't place any turf down where my location is...meaning I can't lay turf anywhere...has this happened to anyone else? How did you fix it?

Make sure location services are enabled and that you've given turf wars permission to use your location. I think some android devices have a battery saving option under location services. You'll need to turn that off. Then fully close and reopen turf wars.
