Be a capo without being a capo.
Forums › Help & Strategy › Be a capo without being a capo.-
This is for all newbies like me. If you want to receive the monetary benefits of being a capo without actually being a capo, you can. Buy protection with in game money, in the missions category.
-
But if you want the full benefit of being a capo and bragging your ass off about it, become a capo.

Beware. If you buy protection for a turf that loses 2k an hour, you wasted money.
If the protection pays off in 4 hours or less, do it. If not, you won't see a huge change in income, just slight. If it makes you lose money and you bought it, I recommend you take a walk down the cobblestone path to the Wizard of Oz who can give you a brain. -

uhm at worst with buying protection as far as I know you double your money within a week. That is hardly a slight increase.Beware. If you buy protection for a turf that loses 2k an hour, you wasted money.

It's always worth paying for protection.

You don't pay protection on turf. You pay it for location.
When you pay protection for a location, that fee covers every turf in that location.
The police take 40% of your income from each turf. The fee for protection is far less than that, and ALWAYS worth purchasing.

I was talking about when you have low-inf turfs, less than 28, with less than 5.6k income as base. When I paid like that, I lost enough money to not pay.
I personally buy police protection cuz it's worth it. I make 600k more. But if you're in the middle of Kansas with not many people around you, you probably will lose money. -
Always buy police protection. It is ALWAYS better to buy than leave it.
-
Corrupted is right. No matter how much or how little turf you have, or how high or how low it's income, police protection is almost never more than a few hours income. And police protection lasts for a week. You will lose far more money in that week by not paying than you will lose by paying.
Satanium needs to work on his math skills.

The other benefit to paying police protection is that it reduces your risk of getting busted on missions.
