Vandetta help?

I know that vendettas are part of the game,but I'm not sure of the point. What can you do with a vendetta that you can't do by simply attacking another player or turf? I don't want to declare a vendetta against someone just to figure out the point so can someone explain this to me?

So u have a vendetta against 2k mob.
You have 500 mob so u can't beat him alone.
You recruit 2 1k mob people.
Now, since ur in a vendetta when u attack the 2k guy, your mob and the people in ur vendetta's mob are combined. In this case, 1k + 1k +500 = 2.5k.

So it's basically another form of a temporary mobbing up?

There is a whole lot more to it than Satanium described. You have be careful of who you invite. Vendettas are described in the Help section. Start there.
