New turf green circle question

Hello! I have a quick question and i was just wondering if you can expand the green circle which appears when you want to add new turf? Or do i have to travel? I noticed that when i add turf near the edge of it the circle expands a little bit around it, but is there any other way?

Police maps work for that.

They expand the green circle by a bunch. Can only use one on each turf.

You can use up to 4 maps per turf which will expand your plant radius up to 8 miles.

Is the purpose of this just to have a further reach to plant the next new turf....or for that one turf to cover more area and collect more protection money from those close by?

Ie : jumping over locked areas or water
