Is there a list of all the active airports? Could someone post the ones in the U.S. At least?

Go to get help on home page and look under plane tickets. All active airports are listed.

Can you build a turf at an airport, even if you are not near one. My closest is 40 miles away

No Elo you have to either go there for real or turf hop. 40 miles isn't difficult.
