I've got to the stage in this game where the size of my mob is my only bottleneck to progressing. I'm immediately put off by this, as it seems the only way to start competing with others is to punch codes. Punching codes is not fun - it's a chore. A chore should never be part of a game. I don't want to do it. Yet if I don't, I might as well stop playing. Am I missing something? Are people enjoying typing in random combinations of letters, words and numbers on their phones? I'm not being a smartarse, I'm genuinely asking if I should stop playing if growing my mob is the primary way forward.
For what it's worth, I enjoyed it a lot until this point.

Nobody enjoys punching codes. Try joining a tournament. At least you can share the tedium with others. And maybe the competition aspect will help.

I've played for almost 3 years now and I haven't punched since I started.
