"Unknown character" box in names

Anyone else get this? Im on android and tons of the names out there i cant read because half the letters show up as boxes with an x in it, my guess is its some sort of iphone only emoji or unicode characters android doesnt recognize...
If anyone else has this problem, or knows a way to fix it let me know~

It's android, nothing tw can do. Apple just has special emoticon.

Alright, will look in to it further. Theres gotta be a way to add/install them emoticons to an android.. hell you can make your android run and look like an iphone if you want.

Tell me how its better, i can do anything i want with my android customize every aspect of it. Apple, youre stuck with the exact phone you get out of the box. All you can do is change background and arrange icons pretty much. Every iphone out there is nearly the exact same, where as i can make two samsung galaxies work completely different and youd never be able to tell they were the same phone except for the physical parts.
Now in not bashing apple, simple user friendly devices are good and all for some people. But me, i like having control over my device especially when ive payed hundreds of dollars for it. Not being restricted on what i can do with it.

Before this starts an all out war over which is better and which isnt. Im not saying android is better overall, its better for my use. iPhone may be better for other people.

I don't give a flying fuck about if I can make my phone look cool, all I have this phone for is texting, calling, and playing games. I'm pretty much NEVER on my home screen. So like you said, it's just better for different people

Exactly, iphones great for basic use. But its potential is limited by apple
