Can't cap

Every time I fight a turf to try to cap it I end up nocking it out instead. To cap a turf is there something other then fighting it that I need to do?

Go to the home screen and click "get help" then scroll down and click "fighting" read that and it tells you what you need to know.

For all the turfs I try to cap everything on the cap checklist is checked.

Is it turfs from the same player? If so I have had this problem a few times also. I can explain.

What is happening is your target has a low enough level to still have some Don protection for new players. Meaning he is somewhere under level 50.

The turf says you can capture it, but as you attack you lower the player's influence. That's when the 10% influence rule takes over and prevents the cap.

I was confused the first time it happened to me also. I was 100% good to go for the capture, but no matter what I did I could only knock it out 😞

Yes I do win fights and I have tried to cap from several different players.
