Depends on many factors, but the average is 7-9 straight wins.

One factor that will increase the number of attacks needed is if the owner of the turf being attacked is healing it.

After you get the turfs health down to zero (and assuming, as Razor Edge said above, that the owner isn't healing it) you will only need 1 more win to capture it.
