Mobbing up

I just started playing a few days ago. I realize mob size is the most important factor and have punched code when I can. I just wanted to clarify a couple things if anyone is willing to help.

1. Temp codes-it's my understanding that the point of pinching temp codes is there is a higher percentage of accepts and you have a chance of getting someone to accept that might only play a few days then quit? Is this true? Of so it seems logical that would be the place to start every day.

2. There are a lot of references to invite matrix which is obviously no longer around. Does anyone have preferences on sites ie mob.codes or turfwarsmob? I see temp codes on mob.codes but mired codes on turfwarsmob. Obviously bumping both can't hurt.
