I've seen I'm not using my best weapons how can I change that?

The game selects the best weapons based on whether you are attacking or defending.

You may have received some weapons from loot that you are still too low a level to use.

And you will only use one weapon and one armor per mob member in each fight. So buying excessive weapons won't help you.
