How is wealth counted up in leaderboards?

If anyone knows how wealth is counted up I leaderboards could you tell me? Is it how much you have in the bank? Hourly income? How much you have currently?

Everysingle cent you own is added up and compared onto the leaderboard. So you have 1 billion in the bank and 1 billion just regularly outside the bank... It will show you own 2 Billion on the leader board. (Pro tip: don't ever bank money, the 15% taken out for deposit is not worth it)
