When is it smart to start or join a vendetta?

Smart to join or start a vendetta. Don't know if it is ever smart. As long as you believe in the cause and you feel your doing what's right for you then that sounds like a smart thing to me. Some will say it's always best to try and avoid the vendetta, try and work out any issue. To start a v, once again it's a matter of if you feel you're being done wrong. But what warrants a v start. 10-30 turfs lost to one player it's all a matter of opinion.
