is there a way to tell if someone is inactive? Just through messaging?

Look at their turf list and look for the last one they built or captured and check the date

The last turf captured can be tricky. We see turf in chronological order. They can capture a turf today and have it tucked away anywhere on their list depending on when it was originally built. Using a name search is also handy. Special characters can make that tricky as well. They're inactive if they don't return in a search.

Other ways to figure it out:

If their XP is more than what it takes to level up (ex: 12,867/11,453)

If you capture a turf somewhere that they are NOT capo of, and it is paying police bribes.

Other options try at your own risk:

Plant loot turf on top of their turf charging them protection. If they move or cap you, they are active.

Unload all your stamina into them and their turf. Send a PM after asking if they are active.
