why am I paying police bribes on some of my turfs and not on others? And how can I get around that? Please 🍻

You can pay for police protection. Just go to mission, and look for police protection on top and pay for it. You can avoid it by a loot item which let you off the hook for a week or become capo in a city. Any turf in that city won't get any police protection.

You can also spend don points for police protection for a week. Not recommended. And you start get police bribes over time.
