Why am I being charged for protection?

I recently purchased more turf, but it's worthless because it's being charged so much for "protection". I don't own any defenses. Why is this?

Go to the missions tab, there you will see a button most likely saying suspicious for you. Click it and pay the protection one of 3 ways. Income you made through in game play, 5 Don point's, or a lootable consig. Each will last you a week. However the last 2 will rid your chances of getting busted in mission's... Which isn't so big a deal since you can redo the mission even though it says your energy was taken, and the amount you lose is minimal. You income per hour will definitely boost👍👍👍✌
