What skills should I upgrade?
Forums › Help & Strategy › What skills should I upgrade?-
I'm a newbie - only level 5. I haven't used any skill points and thus have 12 available.
What should I upgrade? Why? I've heard that attack and defense are overrated. Should I go for energy so I can do more jobs?
And how important is it to defend myself and my turf? It seems to me that there is plenty of unoccupied land even in major metropolitan areas, and a substantial percentage of players are inactive. I've played Parallel Mafia, and fighting other players is pointless when it's easier to just venture into remote territory (without actually going there) and build fronts there or take fronts from an inactive player.

Attack and defense do almost nothing. Never train them. Energy will get you loot. Stamina is for fighting/capturing turf. It takes approximately 8 attacks to capture a turf. You will get quite a few free skill points, but it will not be enough to cap your stats. 250 health is pretty standard and fairly cheap. The new and final skill, capture range, I do not recommend for new or non paying players. Find a good balance between energy and stamina. 80-100 stamina is probably plenty to allow for a fair amount of stamina as well. You'll get 3 free skill points per level. Level 100 is fairly easy to attain, after that it slows down considerably, unless you buy energy refills and/or fight a lot.

Sorry, I meant 80-100 energy should be plenty. You can get by with less.

It takes more as you do the Bren mission more if I remember correctly but I would tell newbies to try and loot your ar-15 as soon as possible then get energy up to 115 or so if you get 500 you'll be the toughest newbie in your town 😃

What are the different paths to success in Turf Wars? From what I've read, they include maximum money, maximum number of turfs, maximum number of capos, and others. I've also read that I shouldn't be in a hurry to level up, because Don protection begins to fade at level 15. (I'm already up to level 8.)

Have fun and make friends. Avoid being rude, you never know who has a dozen or more friends who will happily wipe your turf list clean.

I've made it to level 20. I've been using my skill points mainly for upgrading energy, but I recently started upgrading my stamina as well. I now have:
1. Health: 100
2. Energy: 58
3. Stamina: 7
4. Attack/defense/capture: 0Where should I go from here? Is it worth upgrading health when I can go to the emergency room and get 20 points restored for just a few thousand dollars? (That's peanuts given that I'm currently earning nearly $200,000/hour from my turfs.) I can always use more energy for doing jobs, especially when the energy requirements keep increasing. I can always use more stamina for attacking other players. (I go for those who seem weak for their level and the amount of time they've been playing. I'll bet that many of these players are inactive.)
