How to tell if an airport is active?

There is an airport probably 10-30 miles (maybe more) from where I live. I plan on hopping there, but how do I tell if it is an active airport, meaning I can travel with it. It's called the "Monmouth Executive Airport".

On the front page is a button titled "get help." Lots of good reading in there, including a list of all active airports.

Or just go to your profile and tap "airports". It tells you the nearest airport to your location.

Is that feature only if you have no current airports already available to you?
