Influence and Turf Limit?

What is the best way to increase Influence and Turf Limit?
I know about respect points, level, etc... But I started playing this weekend, I´m actually on level 9 and seems that Influence and Turf Limit are hard to increase just using respect points.... Am I forgetting something?

When you level up the upgrades you unlock will give you alot mire influence. As far as limit. The game is set up so you're either going to have to buy limit or capture. Level ups and free respect won't be enough
