Help. Can't claim!

So recently I have gone on holiday to Bulgaria and of course claimed turf here. The problem is that I can't turf hop because it says you must claim on a street or highway which I am, I've used police maps to try to skip this spot but it seems to be all over the area so I can't hop up to Romania which is where I want to go.
Can anyone help? Thanks

I get the graffiti for the fact that I was inactive for a year and had around 6 billion, it does nothing to my money and I like having the influence

If you are using an Apple product, go to the settings menu, find turf wars, switch the "use google geocoder" setting on or off.

Unsure is that's an option with Android.

It worked for two turf but now says the same thing again and won't let me claim turf even though I'm on a highway :/

Switch between the 2. Also, tap on areas slightly outside the reach of your turf green build radius. If the area is no good, it will say "invalid location..." However, if the area IS good, it will say "valid location (name), but too far..."

If you can find valid areas just outside your reach, and then a long string of more valid areas, adding as much loot as possible to the turf and then adding police maps may help.

Don't waste police maps if they are just going to put you in another dead zone. They cannot be un-equipped, they stay on the turf until another one is planted within reach of it.

It happens in the US, Canada, the UK, but is worse in more remote locations. Simply seeing a road on the map does not mean it actually recognized by the software.

Can help if you try not building at edge of your radius. Just keep tapping backwards towards your turf until you find a spot, then maybe you'll clear that dead zone that lies ahead
