The "Fast Way" includes all upgrades. The "Cheap Way" uses all upgrades except the Warehouse & Gambling Den.Wow! So I'll be spending a lot, would I upgrade to a certain point or the whole lot?
I use all the loot upgrades as well, regardless of which method I am using.

i think there needs to be a replacement for hopping, very tedious

Um, no. The whole point is to work for it if you don't physically go to the place.i think there needs to be a replacement for hopping, very tedious

I've always hop at 121 inf. I jus don't have the patience. I can go on average 10 turf before I tear down the trails (when I have unattached loot). I've done 48 miles in 110 minutes. That's 80 turf hops I believe with each turf build taking a little over 2 minutes to build and destroy, also takes in to account a 1 mile deadspot I had to go around. The cost was substantial but for me it's time over money.

I now add smuggling tunnels to my cheap method to increase the range.

And definitely interesting as well. I'd never thought that 'turf hopping' was something people did to get somewhere ... In fact I'd never really though of actually aiming to get to a particular place. To me, being a new player I suppose, it's all just been giving whatever I think of a shot. On that note, of course, there has been a little strategy (and more as i learn the ropes) involved, and reading through these threads in this forum has been a real eye-opener for me. Thanks all who know what they're doing and share it!! Regards, Ze MFkka.BlackIce222 wrote:

Silly question - but if this is saying max speed is 30mph or more likely 8-15mph -- why not just drive?

I finally got round to calculating the cost of hopping with the assistance of all loot upgrades.
@ 138 inf = $ 2.72 million / mile
@ 118 inf = $ 1.92 million / mile
The above is calculated assuming a turf placement cost of $150k per turf which increases in populated areas.
It continues to be cost effective to hop @ 118 inf until the turf placement cost exceeds $ 3.5 million per turf.
Furthermore the number of turf placements required to travel a distance of 25 miles with all loot upgrades is
25 miles @ 138 inf = 36 turfs
25 miles @ 118 inf = 42 turfs
Hope that helps. 👍

I typically hop with 102 inf - all upgrades (including loot) except the Gambling Den & Warehouse.

Ok, new here to hopping. Sorry if I missed this question in the threads. After I unequip the UB, do I sell back everything or just tear down?

Tearing down is equivalent to selling back.

Sweet, that will save me time!

But keep in mind, you only get back 50%. An 86 inf turf will give you back 1.7m.Witches Sabbath wrote:

Lol😹Yes, and according to my wife it helps to work your hop turf names thru the alphabet so you don't get dyslexic and delete the wrong ones ( or both).
I just found it was dangerous to hop and watch NASCAR and talk to the wife at the same time, so just hopped and watched NASCAR :).

Here is a basic guideline for cost effective hopping:
I recommend an inf per turf of 118 (this factors in all available upgrades except the $1.5 million gambling den ) and results in a build radius of 0.6 miles (about 1 km) per turf. Thus,
Build cost per turf(w/o land cost)=$2,003,500
Return per torn down turf= $1,001,750
So, ignoring land costs, at 118 inf per turf, it should cost you $1,001,750 per 0.6 miles (or 1km), assuming you tear down as you go.
👍
