Capturing Turf?

When I attack someone with a 416 mob and I attack their turf why does their mob seem to double for that battle?! Does anyone else experience this

Can you explain this a little more what are you saying that your losing? If so it's because the game has much higher defence than attack so if you both have the same weapons he would win 100% of the time even though he has less mob than you.
