I have a turf and I'm paying 80% of my turfs income in protection to a few different players. Why is this?

If you're talking about Homeland Security (which is ironic that it's paying protection), it's because at least 4 different 84 influence turfs cover more than half of your turf, so they all collect money I believe. Once you build it up to 84 influence, they can't collect off of it anymore.

Protection is not split between players. You will pay the full protection amount to each and every player that covers you. You CAN go into negative money over it.

Either build to 84, or GTFO of there and go somewhere else with that turf.
