Spreading from unpopulated areas

Does, anyone have any suggestions for spreading to more populated areas from somewhere less populated? I live somewhere and it appears there is only around 5 people to have played in the area.

I guess I could chain turfs slowly down to a more populated city, but I can't imagine how slow and costly this would be. Only other alternative I can think of is to physically go some place else, which isn't much of an option.

You just outlined your two options bud, "chain" aka "turf hop", or go there in real life.

In some ways you have it good. You still have a GPS aspect to the game. An airport would allow your islands to be invaded by a bunch of big players from everywhere else. And, hopping will get easier soon, when you have more $$$.

C'mon man give him credit. I was actually impressed that he came up with it by himself. Not many do.
And yes the chaining turf along would be called "hopping or hop" and it is costly but when you get to more populated areas you make more. Also leave safety turf along the way till you get to destination. And than make sure you have a turf people can't cap there for a while also.

Just go to a populated area (downtown) and plant turf down there :)

My advice: Set up turf anywhere you go in real life. So if you go anywhere for business or holiday, just plant some turf there.

Seeing how he says traveling isn't really an option, I kinda ruled out traveling.

Well thanks to those who gave helpful advice. Guess I'll just wait till I next go down to Auckland. As for the airport well, maybe I'll have to go to Australia XD
