There are two options, google or apple. Being a gps based game, turd wars communicates with the geocoder you have selected to determine locations you try to place turf. All you really need to know is that if you have problems placing turf, try the other geocoder to see if it works. They both don't always work in the same places, necessarily use the same name for a location, or in the case of the google geocoder, it identifies all the smaller unique zones such as colleges, sewer treatment plants, etc, whereas apple recognizes only cities.

You don't have to hard close turd wars, just make sure the "+" isn't pressed while you switch. That should do it.

Also the only places I've come across an actual reason to switch geocoders is 1.hopping from Vancouver on Alaskan highway. Or 2. In South Korea For number one use google for two turn it off.
