I have enough body armor but im using a less protective item. Any ideas?

I've noticed the same thing and it's driving me crazy as it doesn't make sense. Unless the value points of the shield are wrong.

When attacking, you are using the attack stat of the item. Since the Riot Shields and Body Armor both have an attack of 2, it really doesn't matter. I think it just chooses from top to bottom.

If it bugs you enough, just sell the riot shields.

It's an additional equipped item.

You can have:

1x Weapon
1x Armor
1x Shield

We made the Attack value for the Riot Shield 3 instead of 2, since lots of people were getting confused with this.

This is incorrect. You can have 1 weapon & 1 type of armor per mob member.
