Build a turf

I can't build a turf although it is I the green circle. I also click on the highway and/or road and I still get a red MSG saying that I need to build next to the highway or road. Any advice on what I should do.

The map has dead spots which stop you from building turf. If you've got police maps, equip one, then see if you can jump over it. If not, you'll have to find another place.

If you go to your iDevice settings, and scroll down to Turf Wars, you can change the geocoder the game uses. This sometimes helps with dead zones
