So I thought it was time I switched weapons so I sold a bunch of my weapons started buying new ones and...I didn't have enough money, should I still keep punching codes or catch up with my weapons first? Will mob give me more strength anyways?

Mob won't give you anything without weapons. But you should always mob. This way if those players quit the game they're already in your mob.
