Aside from just looking at my first message is there any way to tell exactly how long ago i started playing??

Check the first turf you planted. Unless somebody capped it and tore it down. Or you tore it down. Or if you reset. Lol for some reason I know exactly what day I started.

Check you d/l history in appStore. (you can see it in iTunes atleast), maybe +- some days if you didn't start the game directly after the install!
