Suppose one wants to make a new clan just for kicks...is there a site or something used to keep track of members and what not? And is there a real way to make the clan "official"?

No ingame method of making it official. I think it's better this way. Most use palringo it's a chat app to talkto their members. There's many others. I like proboards. It's a private forum app

Proboards is a great place to set up up a clan/alliance site. It's free and they even have a bad ass mobile app (but it's not free-$3)

Proboards is amazing but ppl with limited access to the Internet best use palringo.

I'm thinking palringo considering I'm only on an iPod. Any other suggestions for a clan? How many to invite? Best allies? Etc...

What are your goals?

World or National conquest?

Local support and protection?

Local dominance?

Not taking over land or turf...just to be there for our allies and I guess protection too. Not really interested in a war but will need lots of members in case

Then you need to look at the turf map for players within range that can help. The stronger the better.

Yeah. Have a strong enough mob to crack skulls when necessary.
