Turf help!

I can knok down an enemy turf to 2 influence then i try to cap it and i knock it out of commision it says and i cant attack it anymore! Can someone plz post or pm me how i can cap the turf!

Also, when you're attacking, are you winning, or just damaging the turf and losing? Can't cap unless you can win. Or what he said above.
