I've been trying to cap a turf most of the afternoon and have lost all but one time. I have green checks on all of the capture list items. I am around 20 levels higher than the owner of the turf and have 400 more mob members and much better weapons, yet I lose every time I try to cap it. Why?

(I only am attempting to clean up the map in my area from players who have quit the game, NOT picking on others! I message people and wait three days before attempting to cap)

I'm also taking 21 damage each fight regardless of my defensive setup. Have a found a bug?

Pretty sure it's a bug now- the user has an experience level of 337/190??

If thedon is stepping in, its not a bug.

You have to be able to win after the turf has been knocked down to zeroto cap.

And the more players you have in an area, themoreyour turf makes. Whether the player is active or not and regardless of size. Cleaning up the map is going to the income of all around you. That's a good way to make enemies.

So wait, two things:

Originally, the Don was helping this player. Now he's not, and I still can't cap him, despite being significantly more powerful.

And to the second part of your comment, if that's true, then why would anyone ever cap a turf? As long as I leave that turf there, don't the surrounding turfs still get the same benefit as if someone else owned them?

You'll have to excuse my ignorance, I've only been playing for a week, but if what you say is true, then why do we have the option to cap anyway? The game IS called "Turf Wars!"

There is an art and strategy to capping. The more players that have turf in an area, the more the turf makes. Eliminate all of a player's turf from an are and income goes down. For everybody in that area.

say there are two turfs there by two different players. You move in and become the third turf. The turfs will get 3 player income ($25k/hr for 84 inf). Then you cap one of the turfs, now there are only two players there again ($18k for 84 inf), but three turfs. See? Better to cap from a player with multiple turfs, but never take the only turf or last turf.

As to the cap issues, who is the player? I can have a look at his stats and give you an idea.

Okay, I understand what you mean by the turf thing now.

If you want to see what I mean, the turf is "Mac= The Answer" held by user "Microsoft Blows" in Bellevue, Washington near Lake Sammamish.

What is micrsoft blows name as it appears inthe game? It's not coming up in a search. Are there symbols or punctuation at the beginning of his name?

He's level 7 with only 37 mob. You are far too powerful. Sell your weapons down to 50 and see if that helps.
