Capturing on the move

Am I right in thinking that if you travel onto someone elses turf, you cannot capture it anymore, you need to build your own turf there first ?? I thought you used to be able to do this ????? Tried today & doesn't seem to work anymore!!! Any ideas ??

You have to have a turf within 0.2 miles of the one you want to capture, don't you?

Your turf must be atleast 24 hours old to capture good sir.
