Depends on which loot crate u get, the bronze one ( the shittiest one in my opinion) gives u more common stuff like tommy guns and body armor, while the higher ranking crates give u more rare stuff like union bosses and smuggling tunnels, u still get guns but the higher ones give u better loot, I no longer grab loot crates as I think they are a waste of don points

Nah there not all bad, I used a tool box and bought one and got 2 more tool boxes a couple union bosses and like 4 hench men.
But I don't buy them very often just every once in a while when I have bought to many turf limit that day and still wanna spend points.
