New Money Conserving Method of Hopping
Forums › Help & Strategy › New Money Conserving Method of Hopping-
I am not sure if anyone else has thought of this, if so i am sorry for reposting. First there are requirements needed.
- Level 60+
- have 3 bagmen
- have 1 liquor license
- have 1 union boss
- have 1 underground tunnel
- have 1 distribution center
- also you have to have patience if you are using this to hop far... Unless you have a lot of time to spare.
Okay knowing the veterans are experienced, I'm sure just by looking at the requirements you could figure out the method of hopping. This method will basically save you millions. It is known that one of the money saving method of hopping is upgrading to the 3 loading docks. This adds your total influence of the turf used to hop to 51 influence. However this new method I just tried uses all of the loots if you have them. It is simple but time consuming.

First you place your turf of course. Then you don't buy any upgrades. Just equip all the loot and you end up with a turf with 53 influence. So you only spend however much it cost you to build the turf. You could be hopping around for less than 100k if you are on a road or in a city that doesn't have that many turf.
So that is my new method. If I am stealing someone else's idea I am truly sorry. Happy turfing and hopping!

Time is worth more than money.

I used this technique early in my game but I would upgrade the first three options so the radius would be a lot larger. It was really inexpensive.
-
I've found that the bagmen don't increase the radius at all. I've quit using them. It saves a lot of time not having to equip & unequip them too.
Keep in mind that in extremely crowded areas, it's more cost effective to build 135 inf turfs to hop, due to the high cost of planting turf.

I leave my hopped turf up for 3+ days, which is the minimum time required to generate enough income to recover my cost of the build.
After that 3+ days I know I can tear down the turf without having lost money. The time required goes down (closer to 3 days) as you hop through more congested areas.

Actually the bagmen do increase the radius but it is very slight. I used them to help me plant a turf in a spot that I barely was able to get thanks to the bagmen. And yeah I do see how 135s are better in crowded areas. I'm trying to find the best money conserving hopping strategy so thanks for the wise insight oh wide great Mystery. :PI've found that the bagmen don't increase the radius at all. I like using all of the upgrades plus 5 graffiti, 5 Collector and 2 Razor Wire.
It raises the create radius to .4, and lowers the cost of the next property you buy.
I find this to be slightly faster and mor eeconomical. -

Then I would say only use them if you are stuck in a dead spot & desperate. I always used to use them to hop. The tiny amount of money you might save by using them isn't worth the time to equip & unequip them.Mystery wrote:
