I was making about 40k an hour, and was investing in my turf, but now huge mobs have covered my turf and I have to pay protection to them, one of my turfs are in negative profit and overall I'm only making 15k off of 4 turfs. Is it worth keeping the negative profit one until I can take over the bigger turfs or not? It's really annoying

If you upgrade to 84 you won't pay protection I think you might still be too low a level to get all the turf upgrades though.

You could try asking the other guys to back off till you get more established. Or you can ask other big players in the area if they can help.

But if they won't go away, then tear down the negative turfs.

That would be my other suggestion. Just keep attacking his turfs. You're too small for him to cap you, so hit him where it hurts-in his wallet.
