Upgrade attack?

Is it worth spending skill points on attack or defence? If you buy a attack point what does it do? +1 to each member of your mob? If I have a mob of 100 and an attack of 5 and defence of 6, does this mean that I will have 500 attack and 600 defence even if I have no weapons?

If it works like KL then no, that 1 attack only works for you.
