Capturing turf

Is capturing turf harder when the player has loads of turfs in the same area, my mob and weapons are both better but still losing when I try to attack. Could this be that he has loads of turf overlapping and I just have on turf in that area

It's ok I think iv figured out why, I have more mob and more weapons but he has better weapons
