Iv only been playin few days so forgive my lack of knocklege but was under the impression you can only attack similar lvl players or higher. Yet yesterday I lost two of my main turfs to a lvl 47 player with 200+ MORE mob members than me (I'm lvl 19).... This seams bit unfair as I'm only new player in area so almost don't av chance... Only thing I can think is cos it was "gas day" they lift the exception rules? Can ne1 explain? Ty

This gas day is completely unofficial, has no actual game effect or rules. Any player in the game on any day can attack another player. Level 100 can attack a level 1 person even if there is a 6000 mob difference. The game is setup to help protect the smaller players from this though, if there is a large difference in strength then "The Don" (a game controlled player) will assist the smaller player causing them to defend against a more powerful player. In your case even though you were still overpowered by the other player, the difference wasn't great enough for the Don to step in and help you

And if you are only 200 mob behind you can easily make that up. Especially considering how small your mob is now.

Read the How To thread on mob building. With just a couple hours over the weekend, you could easily gain a thousand new mob members.

lol I no wot ur sayin n ain't gone to any one askin them to fight my battles just thought game would wait till I'd leveled up n bought few more guns b4 could be captured! Stil no worries and thanks for other two replies am workin my towards kickin ass now

If you are really being bullied, start a vendetta and get high mob players to join. You can them destroy the turfs near yours to break the "bridge" being used to capture you. It sounds like you guys are pretty close to each other, so, adding defensive upgrades to your threatened turfs may help you keep them.
