Is there any difference between the attack / defence skill points you can upgrade after you level up and the attack / defense attributes that come with weapons? Since you only get three each level it seems more economical to buy say a grenade for $10k and get 18 points. Little help, please?

Buy your weapons. Just add a new member and equip.

Those attack/defense points are worthless. They add to your over all attack or defense but yeah, it's a much better buy to just buy a granade.
The points are allocated in order. So if you gave 100 mob and 100 RPGs, 100 minigubd and 100 armor, for instance, and you attack it will only use your RPGs and armor. If your defending it'll use only miniguns and armor. Now if you have 95 RPGs and 100 miniguns and you attack it'll use 95 RPGs first, then the minis. It goes in order of power and armor always seems to get used as well. But otherwise one weapon per mob member that you have.

Each mob member receives one armor (Kevlar/body) AND one weapon

Something is not quite true here. I have frequently been beaten by players I vastly out-mob, and had come to suspect atck/defense are underappreciated.

Nixon... Are you sure the attack/defense works like that? The whole if you attack it uses the RPGs and if you defend it uses the miniguns first? I thought it automatically used the RPGs first in either situation...
Feedback on that anyone???

I Also can't imagine the game developer would overlook the fact that 1 mob member with 1 grenaid > 5 levels worth of points. The must do something bigger we are not seeing

Wish I knew for sure though

I typed up an excel sheet and yes you get one weapon and one armor per member. You need to look at your Attack and defence vs your enemy a&d. Your attack needs to be higher then your enemy defence and your defence need to be higher then thier attack

That still doesn't answer the original question, what do the attack & defense points you get with skill points go toward???

They add to your over all attack/defense stats.
If you have 50 attack on weapons and 20 of those other attack points that means you have 70 total attack points. Same for defense.

I personmaly think the skill points are weighted much much much more than people think. That's the way it works in other mmogs.
Each skill point is probably are 3 or 4 regular points as they are in the weapons. So if you have 30 skill points in one stat it could be 90 or 120 extra attack/defense points.
I'm probably shooting high on those numbers but i done it so it would make some sense. They very well could only give 1.5 points extra per skill point. Who knows. But they are weighted more.
The only way we could ever figure it out is if we had two identical players. Equal mob and weapons/ armor. The only thing different they can have are those skill points and then have then attack each other to see how it affects each one.
Until then... Only the game developers will know.

Yeah, y'all are giving bad advice, I think... There's a couple players with ~200 people I couldn't beat with 400 RPGs.
Likewise, my defense points have always been stacked, and I've warded off huge mobs since I started. In fact, I've really only lost fights when attacking.
